So you wanna be a model?

Whatever you do, do not hand over cash to anyone claiming to be a model agent, whatever they call it: a signing fee, a training fee, or whatever, if they are asking for money they are making it clear that they get their money from the models, rather than clients who hire models.

However investing in a professional taken book / portfolio may help you.

The bulk of modelling work is for the young and beautiful. However, sometimes a different look is called for, and unusual faces, or more mature people can get modeling work.

To begin with, you'll need a portfolio - a selection of photos showing you at your most beautiful. If you already have a portfolio, that's great, but if not, you'll need to get one together. Portfolio photos don't need to show you on the cover of Vogue (though that wouldn't do any harm), but they really can't be holiday snaps - they need to be professionaly taken.
